the ask

A decades-old, family-owned baked goods company knew they had to meaningfully step into the digital space sooner rather than later to continue growing, even with a foundation of loyal customers and products in major retailers like Walmart and Kroger.

Bakehouse wanted to capitalize on the markets they knew they had and reach new people with their unique story. They were looking to capture their products in a new light, amplify their taste appeal, and inspire engaged consumers.

We used recipes as a foundation, knowing we could push the envelope a little bit in a category as fun as desserts and baked goods. We made Bakehouse Bread Co. feel versatile and like a staple someone should always have on hand for get-togethers.

We wanted to bring a childlike nostalgia to an already playful brand, brightening their page with lots of color and texture that drew people in.

From there, we built their social media presence to continue evoking that feeling, we pulled out old photos of the family baking together to amplify the fact that they’ve been family owned and operated since the beginning, we designed graphics around the beloved puns, and gave their target markets a clear understanding of how and where they could find their products.

We infused an authentic storyline while promoting products and retailers, which allowed for a community to grow.

Our Approach

the results

We successfully connected brand loyalists with newbie customers and brought a brand online, significantly increasing its visibility and sales in stores.

We helped a brand age in a way that felt genuine to their roots and origin.

Through tapping into their existing foundation and taking the time to understand their developed identity, we were able to share their story more completely, infuse some newness, and welcome new fans to the brand and sell more consistently in stores.
