Honey Stinger

the ask

While Honey Stinger has been in the game for quite some time, with a well-known reputation in the endurance sports world, they’ve been working to grow their name among team sports, with a focus on the growing opportunities present among high school and college athletes. 

To do so, they wanted to create different scenarios aimed at team sports to showcase their products in use, and begin to build an association with more than independent athletics like running, hiking, or cycling. Think marketing materials geared specifically towards track and field stars, volleyball players, soccer athletes, and so on. 

Over 2 days with Honey Stinger, we aimed to cover as much ground as possible and place their products purposefully into a variety of new scenes and settings. We built out mood boards, created new backdrops, sourced sports equipment, and pulled inspiration from the color palettes present on their packaging, from their classic waffles to their gels and energy chews.

We then used all of these pieces to build real sports environments used to highlight their products in each scenario. 

We worked to produce content that was exciting, inviting, and cohesive alongside Honey Stinger’s existing feel.

After our shoot, we wrapped with a wide array of assets that covered 14 new sport environments, plus supplemental use case scenarios that can be used for additional marketing efforts, within this scope and beyond. 

Our assets will help Honey Stinger expand the variety of their digital marketing, reach a wider variety of audiences, inclusive of their new target markets, and better execute promotions for retail partnerships.
